“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me - watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly."
Matthew 11:28-30 (MSG)

We are surrounded by noise.

There are the obvious things that make this apparent, like traffic, and the non-stop nature of city and suburban life. But there is also the more subtle realities, like the ways that technology seems to infiltrate our attention 24/7. But the call of the ‘easy yoke’ of Christ is not to add ‘religious fervor’ into the mix, but rather it’s an invitation to subtraction, stepping away from the noise and into the quiet place, where we follow Jesus into a dynamic relationship with our Creator - our Heavenly Father. As we encounter God in the silence, the quiet, and the stillness, we are able to hear His voice, and grow in knowing Him deeply.

That is what is at the heart of our Quiet Days.

Quiet Days are morning retreats that we hold once a month on Saturday mornings from 9-11 am. These 2 hour retreats are led by Spiritual Directors, and often consist of contemplative prayer and other formational practices that aid the participants in being present and attentive to the Lord’s movement in their lives.
